Charlotte Observer | 03/26/2007 | Police arrest Panthers reserve guard
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police charged Carolina Panthers reserve guard DAnthony Batiste over the weekend with carrying a concealed weapon.
Batiste, 24, was also cited for a window tint violation, according to the Observers news partner, WCNC-TV.
Well, if it’s not one thing it’s another. Batiste actually has (or had) a shot of making the squad this year in a reserve role, as the staff is (or was) high on his potential. Seeing as how this arrest isn’t *that* bad in comparison to some of the other offenses in Panthers history, it’s possible he’ll remain on the team… but then again, a guy who is carrying around a concealed weapon wasn’t carrying it around for fun.
